Southern Arc Foundation

The Southern Arc Foundation is a Cardiff-based non-profit committed to unlocking the potential of young people across the city’s Southern Arc. We work with local talent and grassroots initiatives to create pathways into education, leadership, and economic opportunity. Our mission is to strengthen community capacity by investing in people—delivering structured programmes that build capability, confidence, and long-term impact. Our portfolio includes four flagship initiatives: ILM Fellowship: supporting university students with project delivery, leadership, and internships NUUR: empowering young people in creative, branding, and digital communications ELAN: developing STEM and creative skills in 12–16-year-olds through hands-on learning Life Literacy: equipping young people with essential life, financial, and digital skills Rooted in the communities we serve, we bring together young people, educators, local organisations, and professionals to co-create the conditions for sustainable change. We believe that opportunity should be place-based, people-driven, and built to last.
