Southern Farming Systems (SFS) conducts practical research, development and extension in cropping, soils, pasture and livestock across the Western Districts of Victoria, Gippsland and Tasmania.
The largest farming systems group in the HRZ, with over 600 members and partners in five branches, SFS provides a network to share ideas, experiences and innovation.
Our extensive research program in soils, cropping, pasture and livestock is accompanied by paddock walks, technical workshops, print/online resources and tools and field days throughout the season. Our major field day, AgriFocus, is held on the 3rd Wednesday of October annually.
