Southern Testing was established in 1967 & is a leading independent Ground Investigation Specialist providing services throughout the UK.
Our Head Office is in Sussex & we have regional offices (ST Consult) in Hampshire, Northampton & Warrington. We employ over 70 staff, comprising highly experienced Geotechnical, Geological, Civil & Environmental Engineers, as well as specialist retained industry Consultants.
Our project experience ranges from feasibility / pre-purchase investigations, phase 1 desk studies & basement impact assessments, through to detailed geotechnical & contamination investigations for new houses, multi-million pound schemes, brownfield regeneration, leisure, healthcare, education, commercial, transport, infrastructure & utilities.
We own & operate an extensive fleet of drilling & in-situ testing equipment, including conventional, low disturbance & restricted access plant. Having our own plant & skilled personnel allows us to design, effectively manage & tailor each project to your needs, whilst reacting rapidly to any changing ground conditions. This flexibility helps us to ensure that any risks are managed promptly & minimised. We also have an extensive database of ground investigation records covering a large part of the UK.
Our in-house laboratories & specialist sub contract UKAS accredited laboratories, provide a fast, reliable and comprehensive range of testing.
We are SMAS Worksafe Contractor, SafeContractor & Constructionline accredited & operate registered management systems ISO 9001:2008, ISO 14001:2004 & ISO 45001:2018.
