In the last five years we have grown our turnover of £500k to £2m. Our core areas are start-up businesses, training, health & wellbeing, community development and young people. We have now expanded into community-led housing projects.
We run the Greenway Centre, Southmead Youth Centre and The Ranch, Southmead's adventure playground.
The Trust was a lead partner in the Southmead Community Plan, an initiative by residents and community stakeholders to benefit Southmead. The community plan has shaped positive changes in the neighbourhood and attracted well needed funding. SDT continues to be the trusted organisation to lead on the community plan.
The SDT has a board of dedicated trustees that shape the vision and how it works towards serving Southmead. The Vision for Southmead Development Trust is to be regarded and valued as the leading catalyst for improving and enhancing opportunities within the local community.
