About Southwest Community Development Corporation

Since 1987, Southwest CDC strives to offer compassionate care to improve the quality of life for the people who come through our doors. We make a difference to more than 2,500 households each year. Our Impact: We help families stay in their homes by preventing foreclosure. We help keep families warm in winter by providing heating assistance programs. We help protect and educate children whose parents cannot afford a babysitter by providing an enriching after school program. We provide support and share resources with neighborhood businesses. We organize neighbors to participate in the zoning decisions that impact the community. We publish the community newspaper- The Globe Times- to share the stories and information about the good, positive and optimistic happenings to counter the negative.
