SowGood Foundation

SowGood began in 2017 as an urban parent initiative and officially registered in 2020 with a vision of nurturing a more nature-connected generation. Slowly, it grew into a community of like-minded people who believe that it’s important for us to stay in touch with nature despite our urban lifestyle, and took shape as a learning farm, for children, by children. Our mission is to create learning farms in schools to generate empathy and action for a better planet. With this aim in mind, our learning farms are currently operational in 14 schools across Delhi-NCR and offer nature-connect sessions on a weekly basis. Topics include not just growing your own food but includes waste management, classification of crops, growing patterns, making of bio-pesticides and bio-fertilizers, recycling and upcycling, water conservation, soil management and sustainable lifestyle choices. Our team of experienced trained facilitators & field experts have touched the lives of more than 70,000 children and 820 educators with regular nature-connect sessions and workshops, both online and offline. From a two-member team, SowGood has grown into a team of 28 facilitators and field experts who share responsibilities like curriculum design and integration, training classes, formulating learning plans, partnerships, finance and coordination. We also partner with several national and international organisations like BNHS and USFS to help build a strong nature-connect in students and primary stakeholders.
