Space Rat Studios' flagship game, SPACE RATS, draws upon the melding of familiar game mechanics such as racing, flying, and speedrunning. We consider ourself an indie racing games studio, and our first casual racing platformer is no exception.
SPACE RATS is a 3D Platformer flight racing game, or Precision Platformer, where cute cartoon animal characters race on a physics-based enclosed course. In the middle of the course, an Artifical Gravity Line (AGL) radiates in the middle and if a character enters it, they experience zero-g (or flying). The closer they get to the AGL, the more they are affected by gravity.
We will be launching a very simplified version of the prototype, Early Access, on Steam in November 2022.
