Our vision is to create equal and sustainable menstrual hygiene for everyone who menstruates. It all started in 2013, as an idea for a sanitary pad that would resemble the menstrual cup in its construction. As such, it is easy to wash and dry in environments that lack infrastructure for water, sewage, waste management, and private space. That is, work for girls, women, menstruators in poor settings. A menstrual pad with these qualities ultimately aims to contribute to “menstrual health”. Spacerpad is developed in collaboration with the School of Textiles at the University of Borås. It is a technical innovation in the sense that one moment it holds liquid and the next it must be easy to clean and quick drying, which are quite contradictory requirements. In Case of Emergency, you can manage on one pad, but two are better. Plus, a big one for the night, so you sleep well.
