Sparket GameDev

As of Dec 2024, Sparket GameDev is a UK based indie game studio founded by Sam Mardell and Hayley Durham. In addition to making games, Sparket GameDev operates a youth outreach program called Sparket GameDev Roblox Developer Network to help the next generation of game makers learn positive game design and collaboration. Sparket GameDev also offers paid outsource QA services to other studios. - History - Sparket GameDev started as a Roblox Developer network and currently has over 100 members and is growing. Sparket has released two published Roblox titles, is currently working on the title “Tiny Creatures”. Sparket is part of the distinguished Cave Bear Games Partner Studio Program for junior studios. It also has a partnership with UpSkill Community, offering free monthly lectures to game development students in collab with their developer network. - Sparket GameDev Network Principles - The network is built on the idea of cultivating a respectful, positive and understanding space to hold game industry networking, teamwork and collaboration for the next generation of game developers on Roblox. This space is also for anyone outside of Roblox and is curious about the development on Roblox Studio. * Being an active resource community through offering free resources and our industry knowledge * Encourage each other, support and celebrate everyone's successes * Understand constructive questioning, learning mistakes, and growing moments together * Empower new game devs with access to industry resources, self-promotion, and community guidance
