Sparkle is here to support children and young people with a disability or developmental difficulty living in Gwent. We are based at the Serennu Children’s Centre in Newport, Nevill Hall Children's Centre in Abergavenny and Caerphilly Children's Centre in Caerphilly County Borough.
We provide facilities and activities for recreation, leisure, sport and family engagement.
Sparkle supports hundreds of Gwent children and young people with complex needs, and their families. The number rises every year. Yet the demand for our services is increasing at an even faster rate.
Many of these children and young people are socially isolated and denied the same opportunities as their peers to develop key skills - interpersonal, communication and confidence-building. Sparkle’s overriding aim is to provide children, facing the double disadvantage of disability and social isolation, with the tools and confidence to reach their full potential and offer their families support they need to achieve this.
