Sparkling Books is a really independent publishing house. We are a member of Independent Publishers Guild. Our printed books are usually quality paperbacks (known as trade paperbacks in the United Kingdom) using a clear traditional typeface. This makes them suitable for gifts. Our authors writing for the adult fiction market include Matthew Booth, Tom Brown, David Stuart Davies, Nikki Dudley, Linda Lo Scuro and Amanda Sington-Williams. In teenage fiction, we publish Cheryl Bentley and Luke Hollands. We discovered the children's author Brian Conaghan and started him on the road to his success with the Costa Book prize. Genres include mystery, crime, detective (including a Sherlock Holmes pastiche), mild horror, romance. In non-fiction, we publish books by the investment manager David Kauders. His genres range over economics, finance and politics. We publish in English in printed form and as e-books. Our e-books are sold to the global English-speaking market in both common formats: Kindle and epub. We have republished the classic Psychology of Crowds by Gustave le Bon and the earlier classic Italian comedy Il vero amico (The True Friend) by Carlo Goldoni. The printed edition of this is in both Italian and English translation, side by side. Our printed books are distributed by BookSource in the United Kingdom and Eire and by Pathway Book Service in the United States and Canada. Our e-books are distributed by INscribe Digital in most of the world, also by Gardners in the UK and by PublishDrive who cover parts of Asia including China. We sell translation rights to foreign publishers.
