Sparrow Capital is a community asset management platform dedicated to economic development in the Edmonton region. Sparrow helps communities develop and own assets. Community assets can include operating capacities, operating businesses, amenities, equipment, real estate assets, etc. Sparrow’s core values are based on the fundamental premise that every human being is of immeasurable intrinsic worth. We believe that all economic value is derivative from the value of well-intentioned and competent people. And the most precious resource in the Edmonton economy are those persons who are willing to take on responsibility and leadership and carry weight to solve problems for the communities they are authentically connected with. Since its establishment in 2017, Sparrow Capital has developed a portfolio of operating businesses, local venues, cowork spaces, and commercial and muti-family real estate properties in the Edmonton region. These assets and operating capacities represent an existing network of complementary functions that are designed to cultivate and support community capacity and entrepreneurial leadership in the Edmonton region.
