The Spatial Sail app is a VR sailing simulator based on actual sailing physics. It is the perfect tool for learning to sail or for perfecting your existing sailing skills. Spatial Sail can be used by individuals that are interested in sailing but also by sailing schools & sailing instructors that want to use it in sailing courses. Teaching the basics of sailing (points of sail, sail trim,...) will boost your learning curve! And it's fun: you can train your skills in a virtual regatta, racing against identical sailing yachts. Sailing is a challenging sport, that requires you to have a lot of knowledge and practice. With the Spatial Sail app, you can now develop your sailing skills without actually having to go on the water. A perfect preparation for your first sailing trip or lesson! With the Spatial Sail sailing simulator, you can learn all the basics of boat handling & sail trim: - What are the points of sail (in irons, close-haul, close reach, beam reach, broad reach, running)? - What is the ‘no-go zone’? - How do you get from A to B with a sail boat, given a specific wind direction? - How do you tack & jibe? - What is heading up and bearing away? And how do you do that on a sail boat? - What is the target speed of a sail boat - and how do you get at this optimal speed? - How do you trim your sail in relation to the wind direction? - How do you know if your sail is well trimmed? - What is true wind & apparent wind? Once you learned the answer to all these questions, you’re ready for boarding as a competent crew member on a sail boat!
