spazioSERRA

spazioSERRA is a public art project led by a curatorial collective with the intention of enhancing the Milanese territory through the work of emerging artists. Founded in Milan in 2017, spazioSERRA stems from the Artepassante project, a program of requalification of metropolitan spaces that is headed by Le Belle Arti APS in collaboration with RFI (Rete Ferroviaria Italiana) with the patronage of the Municipality of Milan and with the recognition of “Subject of Regional Relevance” of the Lombardy Region. The collective is made up of workers in the fields of arts, communication and management, and was born from a deep connection with the space from which it takes its name. spazioSERRA is in fact an exhibition space, located in a metropolitan and suburban reality that is detached from the places canonically dedicated and deputed to art: the Lancetti station of the Passante ferroviario. spazioSERRA hosts a thematic exhibition season every year, involving Italian and international artists in site-specific projects. This main activity is complemented by several collaborations with international institutions and collectives.
