SPE Northern Iraq Section

The SPE Northern Iraq Section is one of 203 sections worldwide operating under SPE International, serving the northern regions of Iraq and the Kurdistan Region. Established in 2012, the section is led by a team of dedicated volunteer board officers and comprises members from diverse professional backgrounds, along with 12 University Student Chapters. In 2024, the SPE Northern Iraq Section was honored with the prestigious SPE Presidential Award for Section Excellence, making it the only section in the Middle East to receive this recognition. Committed to knowledge sharing and professional growth, the section provides a collaborative, scientific, and dynamic platform for industry professionals to exchange technical expertise and best practices within the oil and gas industry.
