SPE Student Chapter Covenant University

The Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) Student Chapter of Covenant University which is a dependent subsidiary of SPE International aims at strengthening and improving the professionalism, technical competence, knowledege and skills of her members and also their interests in the oil and gas industry. Our Student Chapter is located in Covenant University in Ogun state, and is a part of the SPE Lagos section. SPE is a global institution whose purpose is technical knowledge in the upstream oil and gas industry, and also to develop a network of relationships with oil and gas professionals all around the world. We are ardent about bridging the gap that exist between the student and the industry, so we strive to create many opportunites such as; >Organizing Technical Lectures and symposiums that brings professionals to lecture and discuss with students, this also acts as a means for networking with industry professionals and young professionals, >Organizing Short Certified courses and Participation in Oil and gas related competition (local or international) and paper contests, >Participation in SPE events and meeting, Excursions and so on. We as a body under SPE are committed to encouraging academic and technical competence and growth, creativity, balance, teamwork, leadership skill amongst so many others.
