About SPE Student Chapter IITB
Initially founded as a constituent society of AIME (American Institute of Mining Engineers) in 1957, SPE became a separate organisation in 1985. Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is one of the most prestigious organization working for the benefits and integration of Geologists and Geophysicists all over the world. It aims at disseminating technical knowledge concerning exploration, development and production of oil and gas resources and related technologies. The IITB student chapter was started in 2013. The chapter comes under SPE mumbai section
