SPE STUDENT CHAPTER RIVERS STATE UNIVERSITY

SPE Rivers State University Chapter is a student chapter of the Society of Petroleum Engineers International. SPE RSU Student Chapter is located in Port Harcourt, and is a part of the SPE Port Harcourt Section 103. In line with the mission and vision of SPE, we want to connect a student global community of engineers, scientists, and related energy professionals to exchange knowledge, innovate, and advance their technical and professional competence regarding the exploration, development, and production of oil and gas and related energy resources to achieve a safe, secure, and sustainable energy future as student members. At SPERSU strive to make the following opportunities accessible to our students and members ~Networking with industry professionals and possible employers to increase students knowledge and participation . ~ Advancing students knowledge through technical SPE meetings and events. ~ Facilitating society sponsored scholarships and Internships connects. SPERSU student chapter is vibrant and innovative in all areas, we are involved in excursions, paper contest, organizing technical lectures, short courses and social activities for students. Subsequently SPERSU regularly host Technical activities and community services that bring industry professionals in contact with students and vice versa We are committed to disseminating technical information, teaching our members to remain relevant in the changing industry and as well, promoting a healthy academic competition, creativity, and strong leadership skills amongst others.
