Speak4Nature

Speak4Nature aims to provide a common theoretical and operational basis in the social and environmental sciences to give a voice to nonhuman living beings in social and legal instances. Specific objectives (SO) SO1: To conceptualize “Ecological Justice” (EJ) from a multidisciplinary, intersectoral and international perspective (WP2); SO2: To define why and how and under what influence different social sciences extend moral considerability to non-human nature (i.e., law, economy, political science, geography, philosophy, anthropology, history) (WP3); SO3: To map the current social and legal techniques to assert the voice of non-human nature (WP3 and WP4); SO4: To empower the civil society and stakeholders’ role in ecological awareness, restoration, and climate change litigation (WP4); SO5: To ensure the uptake of project outcomes by a comprehensive White Book on EJ as well as multi-language and training packages on the legal techniques and standards, so as to offer practical instruments to implement EJ principles in disputes over environmental violations (WP4-5).
