Contracted a team of Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering Students from Oklahoma State University for a groundbreaking project focused on addressing a critical need in US defense training. Project Summary: Tasked with developing an advanced turbine-powered loitering target drone to enhance the training of defense personnel in identifying, tracking, and neutralizing small, fast-moving, and low observable Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) threats. With no existing solution available, our mission is to pioneer a cost-effective, user-friendly, and highly reliable aircraft with a minimal radar cross section (RCS). Key Objectives: • Develop a prototype aircraft aligning with project specifications. • Demonstrate the functionality and effectiveness of the developed prototype. • Engage in rigorous testing to ensure performance meets stringent requirements. Outcome: The winning design will be selected by a panel of esteemed judges drawn from the aerospace industry, government agencies, and academia, ensuring the chosen solution meets the highest standards of innovation and effectiveness.
