Speximo was acquired by IFF-Lucas Meyer Cosmetics 2019. The integration with Lucas Meyer Cosmetics (LMC) was completed 2023, with the core technology being further developed and industrialized by the excellent LMC team in Massy, France. In April 2024 the announcement that Clariant completed the acquisition of LMC from IFF was published.
Speximo created a technique derived from nature that enable water-oil emulsion without the use of surfactants or synthetic emulsifiers.
The company was founded 2012 by world leading experts to further develop and scale the scientifically based technology in a highly innovative environment in Lund, Southern Sweden. The market focus was international from start.
Speximo represent a unique fashion of creating environmentally sustainable cosmetic, food and pharmaceutical products either through emulsion stabilization, or encapsulation of active ingredients in oil-based formulas.
The patented technology is the result of international collaborations and applied research. Based on the exceptional particle properties of quinoa starch, we provide a mechanism for stabilization that are proved safe for sensitive skin. The Speximo laboratory was set up to continuously explore new applications and solve formulation problems for customers all over the world.
