The objective is to grow money by investing in both Public and Private Equity markets. Styles of Investment: 1) Hedge Fund style of investment in Public Equity markets: Hedge fund style of investment is preferred as this style of investing has the following benefits: i) Possibility of generating positive returns even when the market/stock is falling. ii) Higher exposure with limited capital because of participation in Futures & Options market; thus maximizing possibility of higher returns on invested capital. iii) Possibility of participating and making money on both directions in which the stock moves. iv) Market Neutral or balanced approach to investing. 2) Private Equity style of investment for opportunities available in the non-listed space: i) The objective of this style of investment is to identify outstanding entrepreneurs/businesses which are not listed and partner with them for growth of capital. ii) Kind of businesses that will be targeted are: a) Business where a working model is established and the entrepreneur wants financial, legal and marketing muscle to gain regional or national market leadership. b) Where opportunity exists for consolidation from a fragmented industry. c) IPR driven business with technology, product or a clearly differentiated market opportunity. iii) Value creation in invested businesses will be done through: a) Business Strategy optimization b) Operational & Structural Improvements c) Catalyzing Talent acquisition d) Enabling Governance & Professional Reporting Targeted Returns: The target is to generate a minimum return of 15% plus p.a.
