South Pacific Indigenous Engineering Students (S.P.I.E.S) is a student lead association. Founded in 1992 at the University of Auckland, we aim to support engineering students of Māori and Pacific Island descent. With a 200+ member cohort, SPIES is actively involved within the faculty, university and community.
The number of SPIES graduates is increasing every year, working nationally and internationally at a high level. We believe from the success of our graduates, that the programmes and support offered by SPIES is of significance to students.
Coupled with industry assistance, we can continue to make a difference in the lives of young Māori and Pacific engineers.
