Spike is a monthly networking meet-up for tech startups, founders, investors and startup enthusiasts in Sri Lanka. We're an informal gathering of people who love to talk about the exciting world of technology and entrepreneurship!
This event was started in 2014 by Sam De Silva with host Gayantha De Zoysa as a regular pitching and idea-sharing night where entrepreneurs get an opportunity to connect with other founders, investors and a curious audience. Since then it has evolved into a community where people can walk in, grab a beer (or two) and listen to start-up stories, people sharing their learnings as entrepreneurs in a casual surrounding.
The spirit of Spike Community is always social interaction - going out and meeting people in person! We believe this is part of the reason why Spike works within the start-up community: because it's all about learning from one another's experiences and sharing them with others so that we can grow together as a community.
