Inspired by the work of Carl Rogers on empathy and the philosophy of non-violence of Mahatma Gandhi and Martin Luther King, NVC is an interpersonal communication process that promotes effective and respectful expression, empathic and open listening, and personal empowerment. With its simple and clear process, NVC points to a new way of relating with others, beyond right and wrong, towards real partnerships.
