Spirit of the Downs produces small batch, Artisan Brandies, Grape Spirit and Vodka, using the grapes from the UK’s best wine producers in and around the South Downs National Park in Sussex. Our spirits have won multiple awards at the Great Taste Awards (3 star winner), silvers in The World Brandy Awards and medals at the International Wine and Spirits Challenge. It takes a year to produce our spirits extracting as much flavour from the grapes as possible. Once distilled, we further aged our brandies in a combination typically English and French oaks to provide a lovely aged character and complexity to the spirit. Our used pomace is finally used to fertilise the apple orchard at Trenchmore Farm meaning we are fully sustainable in producing our range of hand made spirits.
