Splatsin

Splatsin, members of the Secwe̓pemc Nation, are working together toward independence under the leadership of elected Kukpi7 (Chief) Wayne Christian and Council. Splatsin prospers from the wealth of their territories, following in the footprints of tour ancestors for those yet unborn. Reserve lands are adjacent to the City of Enderby to the south and across the Shuswap River to the east. The Splatsin are the southernmost tribe of the Shuswap Nation, the largest Interior Salish speaking First Nation in Canada. Their aboriginal territory stretches from the B.C./Alberta border near the Yellowhead Pass to the plateau west of the Fraser River, southeast to the Arrow Lakes and to the upper reaches of the Columbia River Mission & Values • Capitalize on presenting opportunities, provided these opportunities are consistent with our duties and obligations to our culture, people and territories. • Acknowledge our rich, vibrant culture and history by incorporating our traditional teachings into our program and service design and delivery. • Responsibly manage our people, our water, land, resources and money for the greater good. • Engage our members, in the pursuit of good governance, to ensure we respond to needs that are expressed at the individual, family, community and Nation levels.
