Hi, I’m Solly, a Level 6 Qualified Careers Adviser and Coach. I believe all young people deserve the highest quality career guidance to ensure they can reach their educational and career aspirations. To that end, I created SPM Coaching, dedicated to helping schools create a first-in-class careers programme and support young people to reach their full potential, regardless of ability. I work with mainstream, special educational needs schools and alternative provisions. The support is delivered both in-person and online. After finishing my education, I started my journey in professional services, helping recruit top talent for global organisations across London, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong. During this time, I noticed a gap between education and employment and after 15 years, I moved from professional services into education, with the aim of one day being able to help young people transition confidently from education into the world of work. In 2021, I merged my recruitment, coaching, and school careers advisory experience and launched SPM Coaching. Independent Careers Advice - SPM Coaching provides group and individual independent career advice from a Level 6 qualified Careers Adviser. This is done through traditional careers guidance interviews and interactive, creative and sensory-based guidance to support students regardless of their abilities. (Makaton Level 1 qualified) Consultancy support – Support for schools that are time poor, don’t have a permanent Careers Leader or just need additional help with their careers programme. - Support with meeting the Gatsby Benchmarks. - Develop an outstanding careers programme to meet the needs of all students.
