SIMBA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit creating a strong, locally-focused economy in Spokane and Eastern Washington through organizing, education, direct support, and advocacy to entrepreneurs, small business owners, and consumers. SIMBA envisions an inclusive, thriving, locally-focused business ecosystem where independent entrepreneurs and small business owners engage with their communities, sustain the local environment, and gain equal access to financial independence. SIMBA values: - Collaboration and respect through meeting organizations, small businesses, and communities where they are to create an inclusive, local economy; - Equity and diversity in our business communities by supporting local, rural, marginalized, and traditionally underrepresented or excluded entrepreneurs and small business owners toward their common goals; - Community engagement by cultivating the power of small businesses and entrepreneurs to raise their collective voices; - Conscious capitalism by encouraging consumers to shop and support local, to keep money within our community, and to create a sustainable economic and environmental ecosystem that benefits current and future generations; AND - Resilience by building a supportive network of community collaborators to educate, empower, and support our local economies and communities.
