At Sponge we proudly make proper cakes.
They are all made with love, in small batches, by real bakers, using tiptop quality ingredients.
We originally sold our sweet treats just in our higgledy-piggledy Norfolk café, Byfords. Our customers hankered after more, so we thought we would give these great cakes their own identity, crown it SPONGE, and deliver scrumptious cakes direct to homes and businesses across the country.
After lots more baking magic and innovation, and some really tough tasting (honest!) the Sponge family has grown. With a large amount of help and feedback from our loyal customers we have added to our range, both in terms of shapes, sizes and flavours – do have a peek and find a favourite!
