Formed in January 2019, the Sport Ecology Group is a team of sport scholars from universities across North America and Europe. Our goal is to leverage academic research on sport and the environment for sport industry growth, sustainability, and innovation.
We believe the sport sector can serve as a venue and vehicle to broaden the public conversation about climate change, and the the relationship between humans and the natural environment. Through public scholarship, student initiatives, and industry collaborations, we are working to catalyze change in the sport space.
