Spot Matching System

The Spot Matching System (SMS) is a unique, digital 21st Century Colour Matching System / Colour Palette, consisting of 5 seperate colour palettes, each consisting of 1.738 colours - in total 8.690 colours, which can be used consistently and safely, even for side-by-side comparison for CMYK printing on coated and uncoated paper (to Fogra or GRACOL/G7 standards) as well as on digital displays for online viewing and for Television and Cinema. Each system/colour palette (Standard, ECO or MAX version) is delivered in PDF, sRGB format (Standard v6 and MAX v6 are available also in ASE format) for easy handling in most commercially available graphic apps (Adobe, Affinity, CorelDraw) and the colours can easily be converted to the destination gamut by the user - or even to the closest Pantone spot colour, - see instructions at www.spotmatchingsystem.com/gettingstarted. Brand owners, Design Agencies and Printshops can either convert their SMS colours by themselves, buy services, products or colour variants when needed from Spot-Nordic or optionally subscribe to SMS for full service and technical support. The Spot Matching System was created by Mr. Ingi Karlsson, and Icelandic printer and Ugra Certified Expert #1, to help brands achieve colour consistency of their brand colours in all media - v.s. just one media, as is the case with older colour matching systems in the market.
