Spotlight was founded on passion; passion to empower the countless victims of abuse in our country that do not have access to the necessary legal or mental health aid that they deserve. We are a non-profit, online-based support service that provides a 24/7 crisis helpline, emotional support chat service, as well as a care navigation service to victims of abuse all over India. Our Services: - 24/7 Crisis Helpline Spotlight provides a 24/7 crisis helpline for abuse victims pan-India which is managed by trained volunteers and can be accessed through our Instagram page. Our crisis helpline is social-media based to increase accessibility. They will provide service users with the help they require and direct them to our other services, if necessary. - Emotional Support Chat We provide social media-based chat services for the service users who only require emotional support in making sense of their feelings and the abuse they lived through, or just need an unbiased person to talk to. We ensure that this service is run by trained volunteers who promise unconditional support and respect, while maintaining strict confidentiality. - Care Navigation Our service users can benefit from our care navigation service which will - Direct them to licensed mental health professionals, if they require pro bono/affordable, professional help, to better deal with the trauma from abuse or its associated mental health concerns such as depressions or PTSD. - Direct them to licensed lawyers who specialise in abuse-related cases, if they require legal help regarding the abuse they endured or need to file a case. We pride ourselves in our approach to treat service users with unconditional compassion, respect and care. We understand how difficult it can be to come forward and seek help for abuse and hence, confidentiality is given paramount significance at Spotlight.
