Springboard

By providing proven wrap around support programmes, Springboard creates opportunities for young people to achieve positive outcomes and pathways to success. We focus on personal wellbeing by creating a place of belonging and celebrating one-to-one connections, whilst also engaging family and the wider community. Springboard’s holistic and integrated approach employs proven multi-dimensional family and community-based programmes that fully encompass the needs of at-risk young people. These programmes create pathways for the young people to move between as they journey with Springboard staff and mentors. The relationships developed often provide early intervention and opportunities to the head off potentially compounding ‘risk factors’. The Springboard Model places the young person at the centre of a network of professional and voluntary mentors, family and community members, targeting their entire social support system. Springboard provides a wrap-around service that engages the community in delivery. Springboard’s toolkit of programmes include: – alternative education, an intervention programme for youth offenders, work transition initiatives to help young people gain employment, wellbeing support services including parenting courses, counselling and practical support, an intensive preventative mentoring programme and community engagement initiatives.
