SpriteGuard is a software and hardware hybrid solution developed by TOM Limited. The software is deployed within an access point, user activity is then monitored and reported on via a cloud based management console, thus offering data rich analytics for user activity as well as a wholly unique security solution.
The system sits outside of, and runs separately to the existing WiFi network, as a result SpriteGuard observes and protects the whole of the wireless environment, not just devices connected to the primary network.
SpriteGuard can be effectively and efficiently deployed without the need to replace any legacy access points offering a seamless security solution at a “game changer” level. SpriteGuard is, without a doubt, a completely unique offering within the Software as Security market.
Currently, most providers of free public WiFi access are confident that those who connect to access points that are not provided by them are not their concern or issue. This is, of course, a false assumption and can be extremely damaging to user confidence and brand reputation if a breach is incurred by a client logging onto a rogue site in error.
