Rethinking Solar Square Root Solar is an innovative and forward-looking provider of solar energy solutions for multiple applications at affordable prices. We have undertaken a radical re-appraisal of all aspects of solar technology – in response to the evolution of the market and the arrival of new ultra-lightweight composite laminate cell technology. We work with architects and engineers on particular projects to develop specific materials and mounting systems that respond to their particular needs. In this process we can specify by square meterage rather than by watt peak; a new emphasis for solar providers. We propose a solar technology that is adaptable at scale, in form, colour and surface, that can respond to the infinite variation of context demanded by architects – a technology that can become in itself beautiful as well as necessary – a “solar skin” as a primary element in anything and everything that we build for the future and an unobtrusive enhancement of structures already built.
