The SRIC is the Swiss Research Institute on Commodities represents all stakeholders of the commodities ecosystem. Created in 2015 by the initiative of the University of Geneva, the State of Geneva and Swiss Authorities, in partnership with the Swiss Trading & Shipping Association, the Swiss Coffee Trading Association and Swisscontact.
Led by the university, the institute provides academic knowledge to respond to various issues in the sector, bringing together the best of academic thinking to facilitate commodities ecosystem and to empower all its participants for long term viability, social fairness and environmental sustainability.
Every year, since 10 years, the annual Trading Forum gives the opportunity to professionals in commodity trading, NGOs/IOs, academia experts and government officials to discuss issues and exchange views.
