The Department of Information Technology (IT) was established in the year 1999 with an intake of 60 in B.Tech (IT) and later increased to 180. The Department is now offering UG (B.Tech), PG (M.Tech.-IT) and Ph.D. programs. The department has made mile stones in promoting as centre of excellence by adopting innovative methods for Teaching Learning and Research in the diversified fields of Information Technology.
The IT department is equipped with spacious classrooms, air-conditioned seminar hall, e-classrooms, library and well-equipped laboratories. The department has dedicated fully air-conditioned computer labs all in a functional network environment. The department offers free high-speed Internet facility to students and faculty for their labs and research work.
