SRP is a humanitarian non-governmental organization founded in 2017 by a group of young people and community activists of different nationalities, ethnicities, and genders. With a deep engagement in and understanding of the humanitarian crisis in the region, SRP aims to participate in addressing societal, developmental, and emergency problems through creative and well-designed interventions whilst ensuring participatory, community-based, and context-driven solutions and approaches.
We work with both refugees and host communities to overcome obstacles that prevent and hinder their mutual engagement and co-existence. Thus, SRP aims at promoting the values of social peace and coexistence through building the capacities of societies to achieve sustainable development goals, just inclusion of all groups, human rights, and women’s empowerment, through community-led initiatives and locally-driven solutions in accordance with international standards and principles of human rights. SRP works with the most vulnerable groups in conflict-affected communities to ensure they get their rights and basic human needs whilst ensuring this is coordinated with the different stakeholders: governmental and non-governmental actors and community leaders.
