South South Agriculture Alliance (SSAGA)

By fostering exchange of agri-innovations and knowledge, we aim to address smallholder farmer challenges across the Global South. We believe business and technological innovations can play a catalytic role in addressing the challenges of smallholder farmers. However, such innovations as well as the subsequent knowledge is not evenly distributed across different countries in Global South, thereby limiting the extent to which farmers can benefit from them. There is hence a need to be foster knowledge creation and dissemination and support transfer of innovations across boundaries to benefit the larger ecosystem. The South-South Agriculture Alliance (SSAGA) will champion the cause of South-South transfer of agricultural innovations and knowledge.
