Subsurface Engineering Sdn. Bhd. was set up in 1984 to provide geology-based drilling, boring, core sampling and mapping for construction, geophysical and geology.
Site investigation works were added in 1990 due to the frequent need to provide site investigation as part of our service and because of the contractual difficulty of getting third party contractors to adapt site procedures to unforeseen geological conditions. Some recent site investigation contracts we have undertaken are listed in the attached table.
Our geophysical investigation works began in 1996 in the form of seismic refraction survey. Other geophysical works now include MASW, cross-hole and downhole seismic survey, parallel seismic, electrical resistivity surveys, and thermal conductivity survey.
Slope mapping and evaluation is one of our more specialized works.
We are presently registered with the Pusat Khidmat Kontraktor under Class C, Head IV, Sub-Heads 7(a), (b) and (c) to cover our activities for groundwater drilling, soil investigation and geophysical survey respectively. We are also similarly registered with the CIDB under Grade G5, Category CE, for CE12 CE21 CE33.
