Southampton Society of Anaesthetics and Critical Care (SSOACC)

Southampton Society of Anaesthesia and Critical Care is a society run to give medical students exposure and opportunities in anaesthesia. We have lots to offer to all, including seminars, clinical skills workshops, simulation teaching, and revision sessions! We would therefore love anyone interested in this vibrant field to come along to our next event. We aim to hold events every six weeks and we'd love to see you at our next event. As the name suggests, our focus will revolve around anaesthetics and critical care. Both anaesthetics and critical care are very rarely touched upon throughout most of medical school teaching. Our aims and objectives therefore encompass the following things: - Introduce the roles of an anaesthetist (general and sub-speciality) - Teach basic skills around anaesthetics and critical care. - Introduce the various members of a multi-disciplinary critical care team.
