Student Satellite Program IIT KGP

The Student Satellite Program at the Indian Institute of Technology Kharagpur is a pioneering initiative dedicated to designing and building innovative satellites that cater to the evolving needs of the space industry. Our flagship project is AvinyaSat-1, a 2U CubeSat to test re-entry capabilities. We're developing AvinyaSat-1.1, a 1U CubeSat for testing in-house reaction wheel-based attitude controllers, communication modules, and structural integrity. Organized into Structures, ADCS, and Electronics teams, we leverage IIT Kharagpur's facilities to push boundaries in satellite technology. Our mission is to foster innovation, scientific progress, and hands-on learning in the space domain while inspiring future engineers and scientists.
