The association aims to undertake direct or indirect actions, within the framework of the guidelines provided by the highest authority of the Medical Service of the Belgian Defense, with the objective of: a. Encouraging and supporting scientific research (including clinical research) in the fields of health (Health here is to be understood as defined by the WHO: "Health is a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity") or military medicine that are relevant to the Belgian Defense; b. Utilizing resources, purchasing equipment, drafting contracts, and entering into agreements concerning the preparation, execution, support, or publication of the aforementioned scientific research; c. Organizing scientific seminars, symposia, study days, conferences, or lectures, or any other form of scientific communication in the aforementioned fields (including support for digital communication, webinars, teleconferences, etc.); d. Contributing to the training, maintenance of competencies, and professional development in the fields of health/military medicine of its members or members of the Defense whenever the official authorities are unable to do so or when their actions or resources prove insufficient. It may also undertake all other actions that directly or indirectly relate to its purpose. In particular, it may cooperate with and participate in any activity that aligns with its objective.
