Saudi Scientific Society of Pharmaceutical Industries SSSPI

In pursuit of King Abdulaziz University to keep pace with the rapid changes in the development of pharmaceutical industries. The university took the initiative to adopt the idea of establishing a Saudi scientific society specialized in the field of pharmaceutical industries. This field is one of the most important building blocks of the Saudi economy in achieving the Kingdom’s Vision 2030. The approval of His Excellency, the President of the University to establish “Saudi Scientific Society of Pharmaceutical Industries” was issued on 07/07/1441 AH. King Abdulaziz University has placed at the top of its priorities the realization of the Kingdom’s Vision aimed at localizing pharmaceutical industries to increase the durability of the national economy by transferring the production of important pharmaceutical products from countries of the world to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia with a focus on products that include new technologies such as nanotechnology, biotechnology and others. These products can reduce the frequency of drug use and reduce their side effects on the body, which will help reduce the impact of traditional pharmaceutical products on the health care system
