Amsterdams Chemisch Dispuut

The Amsterdams Chemisch Dispuut (ACD) is the study association for Scheikunde and Chemistry students in Amsterdam. The Scheikunde (Bachelor) and Chemistry (Master) programs are Joint Degrees of the University of Amsterdam and Free University Amsterdam (VU). The ACD was founded on November 7, 1945. Since then, the association has represented the interests of the students as optimally as possible. This is done by arranging study-related matters for the students, such as book sales, educational matters, and company excursions. Because there must also be time for relaxation, fun activities are also organized, such as weekly drinks, excursions, parties, sports activities, and other fun outings. The ACD board is supported in this by the many different committees. The committees consist of active members who organize the activities with enthusiasm and dedication. This gives studying a nice extra dimension. The ACD also has a committee that organizes activities for former members, namely the VOLA (Verenigde Oud-Meden ACD). This annually organizes a number of activities for the former members of the ACD who are members of the VOLA. This could include network activities and lectures followed by a drink, or just a very pleasant drink. These activities are the perfect opportunity to see your old fellow students again. For €15 per year, you are a member of the VOLA and you will receive an invitation to the activities that the VOLA organizes. You can also receive the ACD sheet and/or the almanac if you are interested. The VOLA offers free two-year membership for recent graduates, after that €15 must be donated annually to the ACD for membership. Would you like to know more or become a member of VOLA?
