STADIEM - a EU Horizon 2020 program funded project - is the first pan-European accelerator and incubation program dedicated specifically to media technology. It brings together start-ups, scale-ups, media organisations and investors via a groundbreaking start-up to corporate supplier program dedicated to support the scaling of NGM solutions in Europe.
The project developed a dedicated cross-border mediatech support framework and action plan between the participating four hubs (VRT, Media City Bergen, Storytek, NMA), and selected innovative media start-ups through two open calls, assigning them to the hub that best matches their stage of development, vertical and growth needs. This provides the start-ups with relevant skills and information, regional and local knowledge (including market and consumer specifics), available financing and scaling opportunities, as well as venture capital and corporate networks.
In order to achieve its ambition, STADIEM set up a common framework for the hubs, consisting of a 4-stage innovation program with cascade funding, coaching and mentoring, dedicated training, active participation at international media-industry events, and a high-level qualitative selection and evaluation procedure.
STADIEM, through members that are at the core of EU media-innovation, guaranteed the collaboration and involvement of experts from all angles in the media/tech sector (deep tech, marketing, legal, etc.), ensuring to get its beneficiaries the best support available on their road to scale-ing up.
