Stancill Brewery is an award-winning 22.5BBL brewery based in the heart of South Yorkshire’s brewing district. The company produces over 30,000 pints of beer each week.
Drawing on a long brewing tradition dating back more than 150 years, Stancill Brewery produces a range of seven core beers, alongside its regular seasonal specials and pioneering Sheffield Pilsner – the first lager to be brewed in the steel city.
Our story began in 2013 when our founders Tom and Adam learned of the imminent closure of Barnsley’s historic Oakwell brewery. Keen to ensure last orders wouldn’t be called on their much loved Barnsley Bitter the duo sprang into action, mounting a last minute rescue bid to secure the future of a drink loved throughout the world.
Within just 48 hours the original brewing equipment had been rescued and Stancill Brewery began writing a new chapter in South Yorkshire’s brewing history.
Today, the brewery has firmly established itself as one of South Yorkshire’s largest beer producers with Stancill becoming a byword for quality, innovation and passion.
