Our organization’s goal is to create space meant to center and uplift the black communities on both our campus and within the broader Bay Area.
We are the producers of Blackfest, the largest free hip-hop/rap festival in the Bay Area. Blackfest features performances from black artists, both upcoming in the industry and based within the Stanford community. Blackfest also focuses on uplifting local, black-owned businesses by providing a space for vendors.
Ultimately, Blackfest seeks to bridge the gap between Stanford and the broader black community, while also educating the Bay Area at large on the appropriate consumption of black art and culture in a celebratory environment.
