Stansted Park, in the South Downs National Park, is a beautiful Edwardian house with an ancient private Chapel. Set in 1800 acres of parkland, the former home of the Earls of Bessborough gives the visitor an evocative upstairs/downstairs experience. The staterooms house the family portraits while the extensive servants’ quarters are packed with artefacts from a bygone era and dressed as if the Butler and his staff were still in residence.
